Out and About October 2014

The Coorong Tatiara LAP will be holding Water Security displays at the Keith District Show and the Coonalpyn Show, both in October this year. The Water Security displays will provide information on methods and technologies that can be used to save water. Importantly for businesses that depend on water, saving water will also save money and improve the bottom line.

The Coorong Tatiara LAP has asked MEA to display our range of soil moisture monitoring equipment and weather stations as part of the Water Security display. You can catch up with Joe at the Keith Show on Saturday the 11th of October, while Brett will be minding the fort in Coonalpyn on Saturday the 18th of October.

The 16th Australian Almond Conference will be held this year from the 28th to the 30th of October at the Stamford Grand in Glenelg. Fun facts: Almonds are now Australia’s largest horticultural export industry, and we are second only to the United States in global almond production!

As with all farmers, almond growers benefit from an informed approach to water management. Water saved is money saved. MEA will be at the conference again this year, displaying our Plexus radio-linked soil moisture monitoring systems and other monitoring solutions. Of particular interest to almond growers will be the tall-crop mounting solutions that make Plexus a winner in tree crops. Drop in and talk to Andrew or Brett.

Straight from the soil to you
