First four months on the job

The MEA QLD Office has been operational since January 2014. It's been fast paced since Day 1, I have travelled the country side, visiting growers and distributors and passing by many likely looking fishing spots from Griffith to Walkamin and many places in between.

It has been great spending time with these people and looking at which of our products would suit their needs and crops. At times there have been some challenging cases presented, but that is part of what makes the job interesting. It is fantastic to see how Plexus can be used in such a wide range of crops, from turf & strawberries, to lucerne, tomatoes and towering tree crops.

The feedback and suggestions from those using MEA equipment has been invaluable. I have been funneling this information back to HQ in Adelaide and it is exciting to see what is being scribbled up on the drawing board there. I’m really looking forward to seeing these ideas evolve into products in the future. Exciting times ahead!

Recently I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the Queensland Strawberry Growers Association Dinner & Awards night. This was a terrific evening, providing an opportunity to catch up with a number of growers and agronomists as well as dine on some delicious local seafood. Congratulations to those who organised the event, a job well done.

A few of the MEA crew will be at the Irrigation Australia Conference and Exhibition at the Gold Coast in June. If you are attending, please drop by our stand for a chat and a peek at what’s new from MEA.MEA Queensland
